Compensation Package:

Base Salary: $165,000 to $190,000

Additional Benefits:

$403.85 bi-weekly car allowance

Bonus of up to 50%

Summary:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of comprehensive proposals on large and complex manufacturing projects. This often requires the ability to coordinate and lead the preconstruction effort with both in-house and outside resources. As a key role in our organization, the Senior Estimator is expected to build effective relationships with team members, external customers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for leading design-build projects during the preconstruction phase, conceptual and plans/specs estimating

* Analyze project information, including but not limited to sketches, plans, equipment, specifications, and sample layouts, to determine estimated costs and pricing

* Conduct quantity take-offs and estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment

* Solicit and review quotes from vendors, suppliers and subcontractors

* Review final estimates for completeness and accuracy

* Lead and/or Assist operations with subcontractor procurement

* Engage the operations team throughout the preconstruction process to review plans, specifications and general project requirements

* Ability to perform detail constructability analysis of documents.

* Develop detailed Value Management lists and lead the VM process.

* Maintain detailed knowledge of pricing and costs for materials, labor, subcontractors and equipment for all trade disciplines

* Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects

* Develop and maintain historical cost data, including labor and equipment rates, installation methods and production rates

* Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits

* Build effective relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors and clients

* Review awarded projects and compare cost on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate

* Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management or Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

* Minimum of 12 years' experience as an estimator for a commercial General Contractor; experience in Manufacturing, Life Science, and/or Healthcare preferred.

* Proficient with Onscreen Takeoff

* Experience with viewing REVIT / 3D Models

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite

* Detail-oriented, with strong organization skills

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Possess as a strong work ethic
