Inova Partners, LLC has an immediate opportunity for a full-time (30 hours per week) Veterinary Assistant/Technician at our ambulatory practice, Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery ("ESMS"), in the Houston Metropolitan area and surrounding counties (including Wharton, Fort Bend, Waller, Harris, Montgomery, Galveston, and Brazoria). Disciplines served include race, polo, dressage, hunter/jumper, endurance, Western performance horses, and family/companion horses.

This position requires knowledge of horse husbandry. The successful candidate must be able to work safely around large animals and lift up to 50 lbs. and carry for a short distance. While the practice is mostly mobile, some hospitalization of horses is provided, and hospital care is required.

Office responsibilities include using HVMS practice management software (training provided on-the-job); telephone (making appointments, answering inquiries, etc.); invoicing; MS Excel & Word; shipping & receiving; and inventory & stocking.

Qualifications: We seek a team-oriented, self-motivated, and positive individual with strong work ethic. Must have excellent horse-handling, communication, customer service, organizational skills, and be able to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Horse experience is a must! Veterinary practice experience is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
