Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be Reading Endorsed
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse exceptionalities, ensuring that each student's unique needs are addressed.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other members of the IEP team to create comprehensive and goal-oriented plans.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated teaching methods to meet the varying needs of exceptional students.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes a sense of belonging for all students.
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to coordinate and implement effective educational programs.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Stay current with research, trends, and best practices in the field of Exceptional Student Education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to supporting exceptional students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Exceptional Student Education.
• Proven experience working with students with diverse exceptionalities.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing special education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $48,500.00 per year
