POSITION SUMMARY

Providing first- and second-level internal customer service while optimizing and maintaining our current desktop and network systems. Substantial network administration experience and well-versed in Windows-based operating system environments. Hands-on internal IT team that aims to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Optimizes, maintains, and upgrades internal networks by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Researching and troubleshooting complex issues involving applications, SQL Server, networks, PC/server hardware, and peripheral devices.
• Provides daily support for the computing desktop; including network configuration, operating system, software installation and maintenance, and hardware.
• Providing instruction to users on new products and features.
• Assist in the day-to-day support of the corporate phone system.
• Provides support for projects such as, system upgrades, system integration and system administrations.
• Respond to assigned tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Evaluates, prioritizes, resolves problems and requests, or escalates to appropriate support areas.
• Acts as the front-facing support liaison for all service desk-related support issues.
• Requires strong customer service skills, including written and verbal skills.
• Provides technical documentation for service desk support use.
• Collaborates with higher level technical areas on planning and issue resolution.
• Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a four-year college or technical school/
• A minimum of four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
