Crow Estate Planning & Probate, PLC is a reputable and fast-growing estate planning law firm with offices in Nashville, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Hopkinsville, KY. Our mission is to provide our clients with exceptional legal services in the areas of estate planning, probate, conservatorships, and business planning. We currently have 16 employees, including 4 attorneys and a CPA on staff. We are developing a real estate arm of our practice, and to that end we are seeking qualified individuals who desire to grow with our firm.

Overview of Position

We are seeking to hire a full time escrow officer to work in the Clarksville branch of the firm. The candidate must be able to effectively manage a high volume workload, be independent, organized, and a self-starter, all while being on a larger team.

At least 8 years of experience as an escrow officer or processor is required. Experience is non-negotiable for this position.

We are establishing a real estate practice with the goal of handling a large volume of closings so we are seeking those who desire to grow this practice area and be part of a larger team. As we are initially a small team, you will initially be required to be responsible for several other areas of the closing process beyond just escrow duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the real estate closing process, including compliance with contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company policies and other written instructions
  • Directly communicate with clients, borrowers, real estate agents, lenders, and banks throughout the entire title and settlement process
  • Clear title issues and procure third-party documentation such as mortgage payoffs, HOA dues, judgments, bankruptcies, estate matters, divorce, new construction, corporations and LLCs, legal descriptions, vesting, property taxes, etc.
  • Prepare all closing documents necessary to close, including but not limited to the Closing Disclosure, Settlement Statement, and Deed of Trust. Also, confirm that all documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, notary acknowledgements completed, and legal descriptions are correct.
  • Handle disbursements, including deposit /issue checks, paying bills and statements, and receive/initiate wire transfers.
  • Understand and clear escrow accounting discrepancies, read reports and balance files.
  • Resolve post-closing matters.
  • Assist clients with closing related questions and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage and develop client relationships to ensure future real estate closing transactions and communicate effectively with real estate and lending professionals.
  • Must create a positive image of the company through a professional appearance, actions, and conduct to fellow employees and customers.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, offering empathetic and professional support. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, screening new client inquiries, scheduling consultations, and ensuring efficient communication and dedication to our internal processes.
  • Perform light bookkeeping duties, maintain organized files and records, keep calendars, and ensure accurate and timely processing and filing of legal documents.

Our typical client is 50 years old or older, primarily female, a grandparent, on the conservative side, and has retired or is about to retire. They rightfully expect a high level of client service, personal attention, and superior expertise. Our goal is to provide an excellent customer experience for the client and build our relationship with them to better understand their goals and the legacy they seek to protect.

Compensation

Qualifications

  • Familiar with ALTA Best Practices policies and procedures, local customs and practices, state and federal law, and industry standards.
  • Detailed understanding of real estate transactions and closing process start to finish.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience as an Escrow Office/Processor.
  • Able to work proficiently in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent phone, email, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Comfortable with constant change and process improvement.
  • Experience processing files in Quaila.
  • Possession of individual title and/or escrow licenses.
  • Must be Notary Public (or willing to be one)
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to clear a background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
