We are also seeking skilled and detail-oriented Construction Managers/Supervisors/ Inspectors to join our team. They will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with 408 Specifications and Standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously if needed.
We are also seeking Technical Assistants, with no experience necessary. The candidate will need a High School Diploma, GED or post-secondary education and have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. The must be able to do basic math computation for length, area, and volume. The starting rate for a TA classification is $ 20.35 per hour.
This position can advance to the TA-2 position with 6 months consecutive or broken experience with a new rate of $ 23.94 per hour with on-the-job training.
The TA-2 position can advance to the TCI-1 position with 6 months consecutive or broken experience if your performance is acceptable, with a new rate of $ 28.43 per hour. Also, this is the only position that can advance to the TCI-1 position even if there is not an open TCI-1 classification available.
CMC pays for all training to attain the certifications that are required to advance to the higher levels. Contractor's welcome, we are looking for responsible individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Review construction plans and blueprints to verify accuracy and adherence to standards
- Monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship
- Identify and report any deficiencies or deviations from plans
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, to resolve issues and ensure project success
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
- Provide guidance and support to construction teams regarding code compliance and best practices
- Conduct final inspections upon project completion
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction inspection or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Proficiency in using the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS)
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
