CPO, PSC is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Louisville, KY

Duties:

- Provide comprehensive pain management care to patients in a variety of settings
- Assess and monitor patients' pain levels and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform procedures to alleviate pain
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques and resources
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health record systems (eClinicalWorks)
- Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for post-discharge pain management strategies
- Utilize utilization management techniques to ensure appropriate utilization of resources

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Proficient in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of pain management principles, techniques, and medications a plus
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and resources for post-discharge care
- Experience in health coaching and patient education
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility needs
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques for pain management procedures
- Understanding of psychopharmacology principles for pain management in patients with co-existing mental health conditions
- Experience with neonatal ventilators for pain management in neonatal patients
