The Clerk will help operate The Civitan Shoppe.

Job Duties may include:

• Opening and closing the store
• Set-up displays of merchandise and promote sales
• Sort, price and stock merchandise
• Answer customers' questions
• Work cash register and be able to balance and cash out the register drawer
• Display and maintain good communication skills with customers, clients, volunteers and staff
• Instruct and supervise clients that are working at The Civitan Shoppe
• Insure a safe, clean environment

The ideal candidate must be at least 18-years-old and be timely, dependable, reliable, flexible and professional. Experience working in a resale/thrift store or retail is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and experience working in a school setting, health or human service agency is a plus.

Good verbal and written communication skills and sensitivity to cultural/ethical differences are required. A drug test and background checks are required for all employees.
