Responsibilities
Rapidly furnishes police officers with information as requested with a high degree of speed and accuracy. Operates a police radio and computer terminal; retrieves and transmits crime data to centralized data banks throughout the country using a LEADS terminal. Maintains various logs, files and records and transmits information to other law enforcement agencies, such as the Ohio State Patrol.Minimum Qualifications
EducationGraduation from high school (or G.E.D.).
ExperienceMust have one year of experience in data entry.License RequirementsMust possess a valid driver’s license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.General Requirements

Promotional Qualifications
Must be a full-time permanent or part-time permanent employee in pay grade 109 (Wage) or below, pay grade 18 (Clerical) or below, or equivalent, and been employed for 6 consecutive months by the City of Dayton in a classified Civil Service position. Identical scores will be broken by (1) seniority and (2) random selection method.
