Do you have a passion for helping people and working with PTSD/Trauma?

We are looking for a fully licensed Psychotherapist with a strong desire to specialize in trauma treatment. The ideal candidate must have advanced training or be willing to undergo training in evidence-based therapies including:

  • Brain-based treatment such as EMDR
  • Ego States Work/IFS
  • Somatic-based treatment

We provide administrative and billing support to our clinicians so you can focus on providing the highest level of care without distractions!

We are a compassionate group practice with experienced clinicians who have a passion for helping people, particularly those with trauma. In addition to evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy, we also provide neurofeedback. Due to our excellent reputation, the Center for NeuroPotential receives referrals from physicians and other mental health clinicians from all over the state.

The position is primarily in-person with limited telehealth appointments. We will train you on how to ethically and effectively provide trauma-informed therapy (including EMDR) via telehealth.

Clients are highly motivated to heal. Each potential new patient is screened during a phone consultation to ensure that we are a good fit for them and that they are a good fit for the practice. Because of this screening, our clinicians have a high retention rate and can successfully treat and discharge patients.

Please note, this is not a temporary or short-term position. We are looking for clinicians who want the Center for NeuroPotential to be their "clinical home" where they can grow and flourish professionally.

Compensation:

$35 - $45 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling to clients using evidenced-based, trauma-informed techniques.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of client information in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely manner.
  • Engage in clinical consultations and team rounds with colleagues.
  • Pursue continuous professional development by acquiring new therapeutic skills such as neurofeedback.
  • Assess patient progress in neurofeedback sessions.
  • Uphold punctuality and efficiency in all job tasks.
  • Demonstrate consistent reliability in fulfilling job duties.
Qualifications:
  • The candidate must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in Connecticut.
  • experience in treating trauma is required.
  • Willingness to receive training in evidence-based therapies like EMDR and somatic treatments is a must.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in inputting clinical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems is required.
  • A collaborative attitude and commitment to treating trauma patients are essential.
  • Upholding ethical codes of conduct and maintaining a professional demeanor are crucial.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is expected.
