JOB SUMMARY:

As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will join a newly established global cloud security organization under the global Carl Zeiss Meditec AG CISO organization. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating a cloud environment for secure cloud computing, focusing on sensitive personal and health data. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing defined security and data protection requirements for the cloud infrastructure with the information security and development teams. The candidate should have a deep understanding of cloud operations and security risks to ensure that cloud infrastructure meets security, privacy and compliance with current cloud operations standards and regulations, including consulting secure architecture and managing activities of cloud security posture management. Using the newly developed infrastructure, the candidate will support the healthcare software teams in consulting, reviewing, and securing software systems and infrastructure. The candidate will also collaborate with stakeholders to create baseline requirements for cloud security, data protection, data privacy documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Define, provide technical guidance, and implement security processes for efficiently managing the secure design, architecture, and implementation to enforce cloud security controls.
• Conduct and participate in cloud security architecture reviews for new cloud products, technologies, and services.
• Monitor the implementation of security and privacy requirements for the secure delivery of cloud services.
• Manage and provide guidance on the cloud infrastructure from a security perspective and automate security operations, where applicable.
• Develop and deliver cloud security trainings to internal project/development teams.
• Coordinate with respective development teams regarding the technical implementation and prioritization of cloud security requirements.
• Manage security alerts and security policies/features within the cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate and provide guidance to product teams to conduct cloud infrastructure and/or cloud application penetration testing, as applicable
• Collaborate with the product teams to create and track security backlog related to the cloud infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• · Minimum of two years of experience in cloud operations - Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• · Experience designing, developing, and operating public cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP) Experience with cloud automation (e.g., Docker containers and Terraform.)
• · Strong experience in conducting security assessments of cloud infrastructure and services.
• · Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native / cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
• · Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services.
• · Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies.
• · Experience with enterprise cloud applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting.)
• · Experience and exposure to threat modeling and design reviews to assess cloud security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies
• · Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions
• · Experience with enterprise cloud architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
• · An understanding of cryptography, web service frameworks, mobile application architectures, and service architectures (such as event-driven, service-oriented, or serverless architectures)
• · Experience with one or more programming languages (such as Java, Ruby, Python, PHP) for the purpose of code review.
• · Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• · Self-starter able to work with minimal direction.
• · CCSP and AZ-500 certifications are preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $101,200 -$126,500. SF BAY AREA

The salary offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
