Job Overview: Are you passionate about early childhood education? Calvary Lutheran Church and School is currently seeking dedicated Preschool Teachers (Teaching Assistants) to join our team. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the care and education of children aged 4yrs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the implementation of engaging lesson plans.
  • Supervise and nurture children aged 4 yrs
  • Foster interactive and educational experiences through structured and unstructured activities.
  • Maintain a clean and secure environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work harmoniously with fellow staff members and classroom teachers.
  • Demonstrate exemplary character traits, embodying our ministry's vision of nurturing and caring for children.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability in teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Understanding of child welfare principles, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (training available if not already certified).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education
  • Valid teaching certification or license.
