Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for medical services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong medical billing knowledge and experience to contribute to the success of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with medical coders to ensure accurate coding of procedures and diagnoses
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical billing regulations and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG)
- Assist with medical collections as necessary

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10), and medical office procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including claims submission, payment posting, and denial management
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
