BMC Services is a Fast-Growing Union Mechanical Contracting Company located in the Baltimore area is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. BMC Services is affiliated with Baltimore Local 486 Steamfitters and Plumbers, DC Local 602 Steamfitters, DC Local 5 Plumbers.

_ Duties and Responsibilities:_

• Must be able to read and understand Design Build as well as drawings and project specifications and have a firm understanding of the management process.
• Must be able to review approved submittals according to the project scope.
• Must be able to review detailed project takeoffs and prepare contract documents.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure scopes and prices for materials & equipment.
• Candidate will be expected to interact with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with other Project Managers and estimating team to identify cost saving options.
• Monitors the monthly progress of the project and prepares the monthly progress payment according to the work and material that have been completed or supplied.
• Must be able to travel to various project locations.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating.
• Build schedules needed to complete a project.
• Travels to job sites and attend meetings
• Data management including submittals, change orders, closeout etc.
• Performs additional duties directed by management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's Degree preferred or equal experience.
• Minimum of five years’ experience conducting estimates on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Great communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Design Build applications and coordination drawings.
• Must have good computer skills and be familiar with Bluebeam, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,136.00 - $112,576.00 per year
