About the Role

As the Director of Pharmaceutical Services, you'll be at the helm of our pharmacy services division, steering all facets of our pharmacy operations. This pivotal role encompasses strategic oversight, team leadership, adherence to regulatory standards, and the assurance of top-notch pharmacy services delivery. You will be instrumental in collaborating with healthcare executives to elevate patient care, refine medication management practices, and fulfill the organization's objectives. Your responsibilities also extend to guiding the pharmacy team in business and client engagement strategies, as well as fostering their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and execute strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency, service quality, and expansion of our pharmacy operations.
• Work in tandem with upper management to ensure pharmacy services are in sync with the company's vision and mission.
• Manage daily pharmacy operations, including but not limited to prescription processing, inventory oversight, medication dispensation, and administrative duties.
• Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory mandates, encompassing state and federal pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and internal policies.
• Supervise the medication shipping and distribution processes, ensuring compliance with cold chain management and relevant guidelines.
• Formulate and uphold procedures for safe medication handling, storage, and dispensation.
• Evaluate performance indicators and spearhead initiatives for operational improvement and patient care enhancement.
• Lead the pharmacy personnel by setting definitive objectives, promoting a cohesive team environment, and encouraging professional development.
• Execute additional responsibilities as necessitated by the organization.

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• PharmD or RPh certification.
• A minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role within the pharmacy or broader healthcare sector, showcasing a track record of escalating responsibility in personnel management, project oversight, and pharmacy operations.
• Profound understanding of pharmacy practice norms, regulatory compliance, and principles of quality control.
• Competent in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, making critical decisions in high-pressure scenarios, and achieving desired outcomes.
• Exceptional leadership prowess, alongside stellar communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Attributes

• 5-7 years of experience specifically in specialty pharmacy operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge spanning various pharmaceutical products.
