The PA is a clinical expert in outpatient care who provides a high standard of care to patients in the outpatient setting with acute and chronic illnesses face-to-face or via telehealth on communication devices such as phone or computer in collaboration with supervising/attending physician(s). This includes but is not limited to medical diagnosis and treatment, prescribing, educating, and mentoring new members of the health care team. The PA performs approved procedures as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges (DOP). Works directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The PA integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into scope of practice. When available, may also lead research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The PA drives implementation of change, initiates quality assessments, and utilizes leadership skills to strengthen clinical practice and healthcare delivery. The PA produces high patient satisfaction, less use of ED, sees patients more frequently to reduce hospital admissions.
Estimated salary range for this position is $92461 - $120199 / year depending on experience.
