Afternoon Custodian (Full-Time)

Norup International School

**Shift**:

3:00-11:30 PM (may fluctuate), 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

**Compensation**:

Per AFSCME salary schedule

**Qualifications**:

* High school diploma or GED required

* Good moral character

* Ability to create and maintain good public relations

* Ability to understand and communicate in English

* Ability to learn equipment, materials and methods used in custodial work

* Ability to work without constant, direct supervision

* Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving a minimum of 50 lbs.

* Excellent attendance record

* Successful completion of drug/fitness screening and criminal background check

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Clean assigned areas as follows:

Sweep and vacuum rooms and halls

Dust rooms and lockers

Mop bathroom floor, clean toilets and urinals and replenish paper supplies

Clean whiteboards as necessary

Clean doors and windows

Clean entryways

Report any needed repairs to custodial supervisor

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in his/her section

* Perform set ups and take downs for events and activities

* Clean up after night activities

* Assist with snow removal

* Perform other duties as assigned
