Project Manager

Department: Project Management

Reports to: Manager of Project Management

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex projects, ranging from implementation of enterprise-wide applications to building end to end solutions for mid to enterprise sized clients. This individual will serve as liaison between clients, vendors, and other partners of the client. This position requires interfacing with internal personnel and clients. Understanding all aspects of Technology from networking, software development, systems administration, VOIP, building moves, workstation automation, and software integrations is highly advantageous.

Essential Functions

  • Understanding clients technology goal, strategy, and helping formulate direction and implementation plan
  • Actively involved in budgeting, estimation, and planning of all aspects of technology for clients
  • Challenge the clients ideas if there are better ways and means to arrive at clients objectives
  • Ability to have conversation with business resources, technical resources, engineers, low voltage cabling vendors, construction vendors, and other miscellaneous vendors to share project objective, plan, and implement the designed solution
  • Represent the best interest of the client in all aspects of technology in discussion with partners
  • Track project budget, milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues to arrive at alternate solutions to meet project objective
  • Critical thinking and problem solving on day-to-day basis to resolve unanticipated challenges
  • Report to Clients C level executives on project progress, challenges, and risks

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable proficiency managing complex projects spread between multiple clients, vendors, and technology systems
  • Experience in managing projects with over $500,000 budgets and with a duration of over 6 months (preferred)
  • Prior experience in conducting full-fledged Request for Proposal (RFP) process (preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional critical thinker, mental agility, and the ability to influence others
  • Highly organized, with strong self-management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally. Ability to customize messages to audience
  • Ability to lead long brainstorming sessions with client and internal teams
  • Ability to work amidst continuous interruptions and changing priorities while being results focused
  • Ability to influence leadership of clients, vendors, and partners
