Advanced Input Systems is Hiring an EH&S Facilities Manager Near Coeur d Alene, ID

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Environmental Health & Safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards. As our Safety Manager, you will spearhead the development and deployment of our Safety Management System, establish EH&S policies and programs, and lead incident investigations and corrective actions. With your strong leadership skills and extensive experience in manufacturing environments, you will drive continuous improvement in safety performance and oversee facility maintenance operations. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy the AIS Safety Management System to create a strong Environmental Health & Safety culture in compliance with legal, regulatory, applicable EH&S standards and AISG requirements and expectations. Includes establishment and maintenance of EH&S policies, procedures, and programs to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.
  • Lead Safety Committee meetings and projects, working collaboratively with executive sponsors and team members.
  • Develop and monitor meaningful leading indicators of safety and health risk/performance. Identify, develop, and deploy corrective measures to continually improve performance.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, site remediation, and closure of corrective actions as needed. Maintain appropriate records of incidents and actions.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders and team members to implement safety and health initiatives.
  • Identify and implement appropriate environmental/sustainability programs to protect the environment and conserve resources.
  • Manage and report the OSHA 300 log files annually, in addition to all other required/assigned reporting for internal and external purposes.
  • Monitor and assist operations in the enforcement of health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate the delivery of EH&S training for employees.
  • Manage and report on all Facility ESG initiatives. Driving more conservative usage of our natural resources.
  • Oversee all building maintenance functions relating to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, custodial, and cosmetic items.
  • Manage outside contractors for service, repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Possess strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with clarity and passion.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate extensive working knowledge and application of regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to understand mechanical and electrical principles and machine functionality.
  • Experienced in leading a Facilities/Maintenance team.
  • Experience in establishing and managing EH&S standards such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other EH&S recognized standards.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN principles.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and working experience with spreadsheets and databases.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field,
  • 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Typically requires 3 years of managerial experience.
