POSITION SUMMARY

The Advanced Crisis Solutions’ (ACS) BCBA is responsible for providing supervision, mentorship, and career development guidance to ACS Case Managers (CM). The ACS BCBA will supervise all aspects of the ACS Case Managers (CM) duties. The ACS BCBA partners with ACS Case Managers (CM), Parents, Adult Residential Facilities (ARF’s), consumers, administrators, house managers, and staff working towards improving consumer independence, quality of life, and decreasing problem behavior. The BCBA will support ACS staff to increase their skills resulting in decreased unexpected behavioral emergencies. ACS strives to reduce the need for on-call support by providing high level services to individuals whose behavior falls outside the scope of traditional services.

This position primarily consists of work in the ACS office including but not limited to: supervision of ACS Case Managers (CM) and guidance or participation in: heading professional communication for assigned cases, creating training documents, running client specific meetings, trainings, and presentations, teaching behavioral skills, creating, reviewing, and adapting behavioral programs and interventions, continuously reviewing shift reports and daily client interaction, streamlining data collection methods, collecting and analyzing data, and conducting behavioral assessments.

Other BCBA responsibilities include attending or providing guidance to CM’s concerning: consumer Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, communicating with outside professional agencies such as Far Northern Regional Center, Psychiatric and Mental Health Services, preparing ACS, Parents, and ARF staff for client placements and transitions, establishing and maintaining positive relationships and communication with client families and providers, advising and overseeing Behavior Technicians and Case Managers, and taking a positive leadership role within the company and team.

The primary function of the ACS BCBA is supervision, mentoring, editing, and completing assessments and treatment plans of ACS clients. The ACS BCBA may also be assigned individual cases when necessary and would be responsible for managing those cases as described in the CM job description.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervision, oversight, mentoring, and guidance of ACS CM’s.
  • Planning, communication, training, and documentation of CM duties.
  • Managing specific case loads including being the expert and head of communication on assigned cases.
  • Conducting and translating in-depth case review and research.
  • Providing clinical insight in client goal selections and areas of focus.
  • Staying up to date on all pertinent client information.
  • Maintaining timely editing of clinical documentation between all necessary parties.
  • Daily written and verbal professional communication with ACS management and staff, Far Northern Regional Center, outside agencies, providers, and families.
  • Frequently attending a variety of meetings such as Professional Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, which include advocating for client’s needs among outside agencies/professionals.
  • Attending required ACS company meetings bi-weekly to discuss progress of current caseload.
  • Leading client specific meetings with Behavior Technicians including direction and feedback.
  • Proactively planning and providing for the needs of ACS, consumers, and providers to maintain client stability.
  • Training ACS and provider staff on behavioral principles.
  • Antecedent, behavior, consequence, reinforcement, coercion, motivation, etc.
  • Training ACS and provider staff on behavioral skills.
  • Prevention strategies, pre-crisis strategies, crisis strategies, and post-crisis strategies.
  • Skill acquisition techniques, PECS training, Behavior analytic principles and strategies.
  • Supporting consumers in their homes and communities including interaction, coaching, and direct supervision of consumers with developmental disabilities.
  • Entering the field to maintain client, family, and provider relationships, as well as to follow up on Behavior Technician training and occasionally respond to behavioral crises.
  • Frequently modeling positive interactions and reinforcement strategies for staff and consumers.
  • Identifying high impact areas for skill building with staff and consumers.
  • Completing and editing Crisis Stabilization Plans (CSP’s), Staff Training Documents, Graphing Client Behavior, and producing Progress Reports.
  • Implementing and assisting provider staff with reward programs.
  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations in licensed facilities.

We provide company training once a month. Every other month we get together and do fun activities such as Bocce Ball, Axe throwing, River rafting, Hiking, and many more!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess (active) BCBA Certification
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with crisis level behavior problems
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass Professional Crisis Management - Practitioner 2 coursework provided by ACS within 60 days of employment
  • Must pass a fingerprint clearance and sign a criminal record statement
  • Must pass a health screening exam and have reliable transportation
  • Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid training within the first two weeks of employment

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis and/or special focus on applied behavior analysis.
  • Continuing Education Credits or Certificates relating to early childhood education, behavior analysis, and other similar fields of study

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday 9am – 5pm

PAY SCALE AND COMPENSATION

Starting Annual: $90,000
