JOB DESCRIPTION

A Classic Party Rental is seeking a full-time driver/ crew leader. If you are seeking an independent work experience where you take control, this job is for you! You are responsible for your daily route - we don't micromanage you, but in return, expect efficient and accurate work. You will be driving company owned box trucks up to 26’ but a CDL is NOT required. The driver will load and unload vehicles/trucks and deliver equipment in full or partial loads while working with the dispatcher/delivery coordinator and two delivery assistants. The Driver may also assemble and disassemble the equipment at the customer sites. Our Drivers should always exhibit friendly and courteous customer service.

RESPONSBILITIES

• Pulling Orders from warehouse
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Deliver, set-up, take-down and pick-up equipment for parties and other events
• Demonstrates safe and efficient driving skills and is courteous and cooperative
• Responsible for maintaining vehicle in a clean, orderly fashion
• Ability to drive non-CDL box trucks, operate lift gate and properly secure equipment. A CDL is NOT required.
• Clean, maintain and organize equipment in warehouse
• Willing to work a flexible schedule during busy season, which will include nights and weekends (Busy season is April through October)
• Maintain accurate delivery and return records
• Perform other duties as requested.
• Serve as an excellent company representative

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

• Timely and dependable
• Good communication skills: Ability to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or demonstrated form
• Must have a full range of motion and dexterity – be able to stoop, crouch, bend, lift, lower, reach, twist, pull, push, cart and carry items
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 70 lbs.) frequently
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check and DOT physical
• Knowledge of area roads and ability to adjust route in response to traffic or weather conditions
