Mold Maker Production Technician

Our client is a leading manufacturing company and is seeking a Mold Maker Production Technician. As a Mold Maker Production Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of molds used in the production of various products.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure molds are created to precise specifications and maintained to ensure efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Mold Fabrication :
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to fabricate new molds.
• Utilize a variety of machines and tools, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other hand tools, to create and modify molds.
• Mold Maintenance and Repair :
• Perform regular maintenance on existing molds to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair molds to address any defects or issues that arise during production.
• Quality Assurance :
• Conduct inspections of molds to verify that they meet quality and design specifications.
• Ensure all molds are capable of producing products that meet company quality standards.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain accurate records of mold designs, modifications, and repairs.
• Report on the status of molds and any issues encountered to the production supervisor.
• Collaboration :
• Work with design engineers to improve mold designs and suggest modifications for improved performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure molds are correctly installed and functioning during production runs.
Qualifications :
• Education :
• Education :
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred.
• Experience :
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold making, tool and die making, or a similar role.
• Experience with CNC machining and CAD software is highly desirable.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in the use of machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and CAD models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment :

• Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to loud noise, dust, and machinery.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
