Who We Are

Helping Hearts provides behavioral health services in single family residences. We have been proudly serving the mental health community since 2008. We have many shifts available at our multiple locations in the Phoenix area. We are looking for compassionate staff to join our team. We prefer experience; however, we recognize traditional work experience is not the only form of experience. All staff will complete a new hire training that will provide for Arizona State Caregiving Certification, CPR/First Aid and CPI Certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Participate as a member of the residential treatment team working with clients diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness
  • Complete orientation and data collection, obtain client signatures for admission of incoming clients, and set up files for residential treatment
  • Develop and maintain assessments, individualized treatment plans and other required documentation within the required timeframe
  • Maintain the client’s clinical record, including documentation of activities, the service delivery process and coordination of care
  • Coordinate and communicate client service, care and needs with the Clinical Coordinator, medical and psychiatric practitioners, case management teams, guardians, advocates, and family members
  • Participate in regular team meetings and staffing to discuss, review, and implement identified services and document actions to modify service delivery based on client needs and progress
  • Coordinate and assist client with appointments for psychiatric, medical, court, etc. appointments and provide or arrange transportation as appropriate and determined by the treatment plan
  • Serve as the primary point of contact within the residential placement and provide co-supervision for the direct care staff to ensure the highest level of client care and support
  • Other duties as assigned

The hourly rate of pay for this position starts at $20 per hour, depending on experience.

****Weekend required! Shifts are Thursday - Sunday.

**New Hire Bonus of $1500. You will be paid $750 after 6 months of employment and $750 after 1 year of employment.

Who We Need:

Compassionate staff who are dependable, patient reliable, adaptable, detail oriented and can multi-task. At times, staff will need to assist in de-escalation of behaviors (i.e. physical aggression, verbal aggression) and other crisis situations and be able to accurately document in the electronic health records what they observe with their member interactions.

We are looking for applicants who are:

  • at least 18 years of age,
  • Have a minimum of high school diploma or GED (must provide copy of document)
  • Are fluent in speaking and writing in English
  • Possess an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (must provide before hire)
  • Proof of ability to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and physical
  • Have reliable transportation and ability to use car for work
  • Can type 25 words per minute and have basic computer skills
  • Must have sufficient physical strength and mobility to assist a participant to transfer from a wheelchair to another chair or commode without assistance and assist with a two-person transfer.
  • Personal qualities including flexibility, tolerance of varied lifestyles and behavior, sound judgment.
  • Need at least 4 years’ experience in related field such as: Behavioral Health, Mental Health, BHT (Behavioral Health Technician), Caregiver, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Certified Caregiver, PCS, or group home experience

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
