About the Position

We are looking for a Host responsible for creating memorable dining experiences. To do this, you need to be able to create rapport with your customers. You'll need to be personable, upbeat and efficient, and be able to anticipate diners' needs. It's up to you to provide exceptional customer service.. You will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. Your goal is to deliver high-quality service that will be highly appreciated by our staff and customers.

You will be responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Host
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work with a team and communicate effectively with customers
• Willing to learn new skills to enhance our service
• Durham, NC/Spanish speaking is a plus!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
