Job Summary:
Position: Teacher's Aide Company: Caterpillar to Butterfly Learning Academy
Hours: Full-time, 24-hour daycare and preschool facility
Job Description: Caterpillar to Butterfly Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our team. As a Teacher's Aide, you will work alongside lead teachers and childcare providers to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in our 24-hour daycare and preschool facility. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, supervising children during playtime and meal times, and maintaining a safe and clean learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age Appropriate curriculum and activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Provide support to children with basic needs such as toileting, dressing, and feeding.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Follow licensing regulations and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with general classroom tasks such as preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework in early childhood education preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards diverse student needs
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Basic knowledge of math, literacy education, and child development principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
