Position Summary: General production is responsible for weighing hops, ensuring quality control on mylar packing bags, and monitoring packing supplies. This position assists with general production duties and may assist in the fulfilment department when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

70% Hop Processing/Quality:

• Operates scale to weigh hops according to order specifications
• Performs quality control checks on mylar packing bags (And Hops)

25% Packaging:

• Monitors packing supplies and notifies Production Manager when supplies are needed (before inventory is “out”)
• Ensures packaging area is neat, organized, and free of any hazards or safety issues
• Assists fulfilment department when needed
• Ensures hops are packaged appropriately based on the order and travel requirements (This is more about ensuring the 16oz,8oz,2oz packages are all weighed correctly, when this position steps into Fulfillment they are then following the fulfillment JD which includes fulfilling actual orders)

5% Other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment:

1. Must comply with all John I. Haas, Inc. and Yakima Valley Hops policies and procedures, including successful passing of pre-employment background check.

2. Must comply with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and be trained on procedures applicable to the requirements of the position, including managing significant quality, environmental, and food safety aspects.

3. Work schedule consists of 9am- 1pm most days, any worked hours over 40hrs in one work week will be paid at overtime.

4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance.

5. Must be able to work in a production area with loud noises and unavoidable exposure to hops and hop products.

Required:

• Production/packaging experience
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Experience working with hops or in a hop facility
• Experience with manufacturing equipment

Pay: $34,800 to $52,200 per year with a target starting salary of $34,800 to $43,500. Please keep in mind this range represents the range for all positions in the pay grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience and if applicable, location.
