We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. As the EHS Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, programs, and initiatives to ensure the well-being of our employees and compliance with regulatory standards. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.

Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations, projects, and strategic planning.

Provide leadership and guidance on incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analyses and the implementation of corrective actions.

Develop, deliver, and administer training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental responsibilities.

Stay abreast of emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices, and proactively implement changes to enhance organizational compliance.

Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, acting as the primary point of contact for inspections, inquiries, and reporting requirements.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess EHS performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversee the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, including coordination with local emergency services.

Ensure all employees and visitors are regularly wearing their PPE and following PPE protocol.

Evaluate EMR ratings with WC carrier to ensure accuracy of WC classifications and reporting.

Ensure all First Report of Injuries are reported timely and accurately internally and to WC TPA.

Maintain the OSHA Log and ensure OSHA recording and reporting compliance.

Address any EPA regulations and report in a timely manner, an ensure compliance.

Review, approve and conduct risk assessments. Including assisting in the coordination of risk reduction projects.

Manage the WC audits and provide appropriate data.

Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings and informs the Leadership Team of accidents, incidents, near-misses, recordables, reportables, etc. on a regular basis.

Maintains all SDS and ensures all SDS are up-to-date and current.

Manage and maintain all PPE supplies and uniforms and conduct annual cost controls and budgets.

Oversee Safety Committee and meetings.

Other duties as assigned by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.

Proven experience (5 yrs) in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and their practical application.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated leadership in fostering a positive safety culture and driving behavioral change.

Proficient in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.

Experience with EHS management systems and related software applications.

  • The workday is spent in an office and the production plant or warehouse center. The environment will include walking onto the plant production floor on daily basis, monitoring and promoting safety awareness, where there is weather and nonweather related hot or humid conditions, extreme cold, working near moving mechanical parts or equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is quiet in the office, but can be loud when on the production floor, warehouse or loading areas.
  • Will require the use and wear of required PPE and safety materials.
