Our ideal candidate has a genuine love for children, management experience in a large preschool facility, an understanding of exceptional customer service, and good organizational skills.

Qualities to Possess:

  • A friendly & outgoing personality and can relate well to children and adults
  • A Bachelor's degree in early childhood studies or a related field and/or 5 years of early childhood management experience
  • Managed or operated a licensed center with at least 100 children
  • A current Florida Director's License
  • Excellent understanding of Florida Minimum Standards and Licensing Regulations
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of Procare a must!
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Spanish, Portuguese preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to cover the school and complete all responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hiring, managing and training staff
  • Interacting with and providing superior customer service to enrolled and prospective families
  • Providing a safe nurturing environment for growth and learning management of all matters related to education, staffing and internal accounting of the school.
  • Implementing and monitoring procedures & guidelines designed to maintain compliance with school policies and Florida licensing requirements at all times.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to all children and parents in the school.
  • Representing the school to the community, parents, visitors and staff with professionalism and integrity.
  • Implementing and overseeing effective internal and external marketing programs.
  • Clearly elaborating the center's mission and vision to the school's management team as well as staff.
  • Evaluation and scheduling of staffing requirements to ensure operation of classrooms within specified ratio requirements.
  • Supervising staff to insure the school's curriculum goals are being met with knowledge of Star rating programs.
  • Food program knowledge includes, applying and managing the program.
  • School readiness program knowledge, includes applying and managing the program.
  • VPK program knowledge, includes applying and managing the program.
  • Ensuring that ongoing staff training and education requirements are met.
  • Performing periodic staff evaluations
  • Evaluating food purchases, preparation and service of all meals and snacks to ensure proper nutritional benefits are being met

Required Credentials:

  • Current Florida Director's License
  • Current VPK Director's license
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese preferred
  • CDA
  • Early childhood Education degree
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • State and FBI background clearance required prior to hire

Performance based raises and bonuses available.
