Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. As a Chemical Dependency Counselor, you will provide behavioral health support and patient care to individuals with substance abuse issues. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with addiction.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat clients within the range of program services, especially for chemical dependency treatment.
• Provide individual and family counseling.
• Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics.
• Perform other duties necessary to accomplish program objectives.
• Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services, making referrals and conducting follow-ups as appropriate.
• Provide outreach and case management to primary clients.

Requirements:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required
• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years relevant counseling is experience
• LCDC II or licensure eligible
• Experience with adolescents and alcohol/drug assessment
• Ability to form therapeutic relationships
• Organized, detail-oriented, and maintains confidentiality
• Proficient in group work and communication
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and EMR: Avatar
