Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Coordinator of Individualized Learning to join our team. The Coordinator of Individualized Learning will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing personalized learning and differentiated instruction for students across all grade levels. This individual will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure that every student receives the support and resources they need to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with teachers, parents, and students to create personalized learning plans that address a student's unique strengths, interests, and learning needs.
- Identify and coordinate resources, including instructional materials, technology tools, and support services, to meet the individualized needs of students.
- Offer training and support to teachers on best practices for implementing individualized learning strategies and accommodations in the classroom.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust individualized learning plans as needed to ensure ongoing growth and success.
- Analyze student data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and use this information to inform decision-making and program development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure alignment between individualized learning plans and overall instructional goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress, solicit feedback, and collaborate on strategies for supporting learning at home.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in individualized learning and incorporate this knowledge into program development and implementation.
- Coordinate and lead the following programs
- After-school tutoring and enrichment program
- Response to Intervention (RTI) program
- Gifted Program
- Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- 504 Coordinator
- Work closely with Special Education Coordinator to support specialized instruction, progress monitoring of IEP goals and differentiated, specialized instruction
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree or higher preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in educational leadership, with a focus on individualized instruction and student support
- Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies for differentiation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience with data analysis and assessment tools
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to special education and accommodations
- Creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
Reports to: Lake Oconee Academy Executive Director
Salary/Terms: 190 day contract; Salary based on certification and experience
