A N D Staffing is Hiring a CNC Lathe Operator Near Huntley, IL
Summary:
With general supervision, operates CNC equipment to produce parts in accordance with supplied prints and/or verbal instructions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Runs CNC lathe equipment on shafts with tight tolerances
2. Parts require some manual filing/polishing
3. Knowledge of G code and M code
4. Inspects material to be machined on the CNC equipment with micrometers, gauges, tape measure, calipers
5. Responsible for the quality of machined parts produced on the CNC equipment
6. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area
7. Routine machine maintenance (add coolant and lubricants)
8. Reports all non-conforming parts to their supervisor
9. Performs other work duties or functions as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
2. Can read and measure in metric
3. Meticulous attention to detail
4. Good written and verbal communication skills
5. Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, reading prints
Required Education & Experience:
1. Previous metal machine experience
2. Previous machine shop experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
