We are seeking a Project Manager to join our ranks. This work is both high profile and highly complex, so we are looking for problem-solvers that are able to work quickly to provide innovative solutions for Government contracts. The tight deadlines and regularly scheduled events mean that this person must also be flexible to jump in when and where needed. Knowledge of Navy systems, scientific, mine warfare, shipboard logistics, mine countermeasures, and mechanical / electronics is a plus.

Things you MUST possess:

Program Managers are responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.

• A SECRET clearance.
• A BS degree in a managerial or technical area.
• Nine years of progressively responsible civilian or military professional experience and demonstrated experience in managing and directing the efforts of diverse task teams supporting the U.S. Navy systems being developed, modified, or supported and experience managing engineering support services task orders.
• A solution-oriented personality that is not only able to solve complex problems, but also explain decisions in a manner that makes sense to the rest of the team (this includes being able to speak intelligently with government representatives and experts in the field). The ability to provide guidance to those that need it and take advice from those offering to give it.
• Like most places, we require a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, so you should understand concepts such as Earned Value Management (EVM), critical path, cost estimates, and risk analysis.
