Job Description:

Title: Evening Cleaner/Housekeeping Staff
Unit: Part-Time Non-Unit Staff
Department: Facilities Management
Reports to: Assistant Director of Building Services
Date: March 5, 2024 (Reopened April 18, 2024)
General Summary: This part-time position focuses on cleaning buildings and facilities during and after operational hours. During a shift the employee will be expected to handle standard custodial responsibilities in addition to managing janitorial inventory and equipment. Additionally, they will be expected to ensure that offices and buildings remain secure and are secured after the end of their shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and vacuum floors
• Empty trash
• Replace restroom supplies
• Disinfect surfaces in accordance with COVID-19 and College standards
• Steam clean floors
• Work with other cleaners/housekeeping staff to handle larger jobs
• Complete other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with equity-minded work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, veterans, and individuals with different academic preparation levels and varying physical and learning abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior professional janitorial experience

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $16.75 per hour in accordance with the College's Part-Time Wage Schedule
Location: Bedford Campus with occasional travel to Lowell Campus, as needed
Hours: 20 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire
Expected Start Date: May 2024
