Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Buyer. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing and procurement activities of our organization. Duties: - Assist with the procurement of materials, products, and services needed for our organization - Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules - Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory management team - Analyze market trends and conduct research to identify potential suppliers - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant information - Support the development and implementation of purchasing strategies - Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods - Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels effectively Experience: - Previous experience in a buying or procurement role is preferred - Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices - Familiarity with purchasing processes and procedures - Strong negotiation skills to obtain favorable pricing and terms - Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions - Proficiency in using purchasing software systems (e.g., Edwards) - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
