Pension & Optional 401 K plan Bus Operator Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age, with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License with your current address
Have the ability to pass company provided paid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)Training Course for Class B with a passenger/air brake endorsement.
Must pass pre-employment process which includes Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, drug screen/breathalyzer and complete a background check (7-year prior history).
Available to work assigned scheduled including: days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
Possess stable work history, with excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with passengers and staff.
Ability to problem solve if situations arise on the bus. Driving Record:
Ten-year MVR is required for all applicants.
No DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
No reckless driving, suspension, or denial of license in the past 3 years.
No violations of driving 20 mph or more over the speed limit.
No more than 3 violations in the past 3 years. Bus Operator Duties: Safely operate transit bus in strict compliance with WeGo Public Transit System polices, guidelines, and procedures, as well as follow all Tennessee and Federal laws and regulations.
Ability to adapt to constantly changing operating environments.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interreacting with all passengers.
