We provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Our Patient Access Representatives:
- Interact with patients, visitors, team members, and physicians
- Support patients by verifying insurances, assist with admitting, discharge, and transfers
- Provide clerical support for the Nurse's Station and Admitting Office
- Answer phones, collect and enter data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Requirements
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Proficient in typing (40 wpm minimum)
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook
Preferred
- Courses in business and computers, or completion of a Medical Secretary.
- Ward Clerk or Health Unit Coordinator certificate.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with a high degree of commitment to the needs and safety of our patients. Adherence to HIPAA is a must for this position.
