As Associate Medical Director, you would have a significant role within our Healthcare team by helping to deliver on the successful provider recommendations, patient care, and regulatory compliance. This role reports into our Chief Medical Officer and interfaces with our Health Services and leadership team on provider relation, medical quality, and improving use of health services and resources.
Responsibilities:
• Support CMO on oversight of health services team and provider representatives in their primary care physician meetings in demonstrating awareness and support to continuous improvement planning.
• Analyze use case examples, examine qualitative data, and perform trends analysis to support market, groups, and primary care physician data.
• Oversee and analyze admissions, discharges, and ER visits to determine follow-up office visits.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians to identify practice performance, KPIs, and practice improvement plans.
• Communicate and address medical grievances from providers and communicate solutions with the team and Medical Plan.
• Participate in conflict resolution needs as it supports grievances, practice, and performance opportunities to improve patient care.
Required Knowledge & Abilities:
• Healthcare leadership experience, policy writing, and relationship management.
• Expertise in utilization management including standard utilization and financial metrics.
• Analytical skills in utilization and engage with providers in what gaps in care and recommend solutions.
• Expertise in population health management with application to physician practice improvement.
• Strong communication skills around provider performance and opportunity identification.
• Willingness to help patients, families, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of HIPAA.
• Able to travel up to 25%.
Education Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from accredited medical school.
• MD - Doctor of Medicine Current state medical license in good standing with medical board.
• 5 years of primary care, family medicine, or comparable specialty.
• Experience with data analytics tools and reporting.
• Medicare Triple Aim knowledge.
