Maintenance Staff Summary:
Will work to organize, prioritize, and implement maintenance tasks to be completed. Will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of all facilities at all assigned CLO facilities. This includes but is not limited to general repair, emergency repairs, remodeling of sites, vehicle maintenance, and grounds upkeep in regard to safety issues and licensed facility requirements. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Maintenance Staff Qualifications:
Experience in or familiarity with the Human Services field is helpful but not required. Must complete mandatory and assigned training. Must be able to pass a mandatory MN Department of Human Services Background Check. Must be able to negotiate stairs and lift 75 lbs.
Knowledge in general carpentry, light electrical, and basic plumbing is required. Must be able to work with a variety of materials including but not limited to: insulation, a variety of woods, glues and other adhesives, sheetrock repair materials, and roofing materials. Strong desire to learn, ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions, and flexibility will all be crucial for success in this position. Must have valid Driver's License and able to be approved by our insurance company to drive a company vehicle during work hours.
Training on Vulnerable Adults/Children, data privacy, drug, alcohol, and chemicals policy, use of equipment policy, Emergency Response, reporting/review policy, Incident Response both upon hire and annually is required.
General hours are Monday through Friday day time hours. Flexibility with schedule needed to handle emergencies that may arise outside of general work schedule hours.
Must have a strong desire to help improve the lives and environments of those living in our facilities, have patience, organizational skills, ability to handle paperwork, while remembering the needs of the individual's living in each home come first. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interact positively with a diverse group of people both within our company and those we serve in our homes.
