Job Description

Job Description
Description:

Are you an amazing Physical Therapist Assistant looking for something different? Would you like to make a difference in the community? Would you like to work in an organization where you’re valued for your contribution? Do you have a call to serve the senior community in our region? Read on, PACE North might be just the opportunity for you!

What is PACE North? PACE stands for P rogram of A ll I nclusive C are for the Elderly. We are a new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly at our day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. If you’ve never heard of us before, that’s okay since we’re new to the region. PACE North began serving the 7 county region’s elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it’s growing quickly!

Do we have benefits? Yes! Our full-time team members enjoy; regular daytime work schedules, plentiful PTO and paid holidays, great insurance benefits with health insurance available immediately upon hire, 401k matching, regular wage reviews, and a development system designed to help you move forward. We also have a great team of professionals who are a joy to work with!

What does a Physical Therapist Assistant at PACE North do? You can expect to provide physical therapy services to our participants under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist to help improve mobility, relieve pain, prevent, or limit permanent physical disability. All of this is focused on promoting overall fitness and wellness among our participants. You could do all of this either at the PACE Center or at a participant home. Here’s a great thing to know, PACE North is the primary care and the primary insurance for our participants. What does this mean? Our team focuses on the participant outcome and care decisions are made internally by our awesome Interdisciplinary Team, not someone disconnected from the person in a distant location. If you love being a PTA and are driven to make a difference in the lives of others, raise your hand and check us out!

Requirements:

What qualifications should you bring to the table? We’re looking for that special person who loves serving others with a positive approach. We’d appreciate a valid driver’s license, current Physical Therapist Assistant license and CPR certification, 1 year experience working with a frail or elderly population, and experience in outpatient therapy is preferred. You should also have reliable transportation and valid auto insurance. We’re looking for that special person who loves serving others with a positive approach. Being a team player able to maintain a professional, friendly, and cordial approach to things is super important as well!
