POSITION SUMMARY
Provides support to the local facility with their daily flow of material and services. The employee's assignments are subject to regular and frequent review, with the supervisor readily available for advise, clarification of assignment and general assistance as needed.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Expediting and updating purchase orders by using our opened purchase order report.
• Mailing confirming purchase orders, checking, updating, and filing the open and closed purchase orders.
• Maintaining and updating the vendor files.
• Typing, mailing and faxing request for quotation forms and completing spreadsheets.
• Logging in purchase requisitions.
• Contacting vendors on short shipments and returning rejected materials.
• Performing data entry.
• Purchasing materials as required.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
• Other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background/Education
• 2 years' experience in a purchasing, customer service or Office Manager role
• Must have working knowledge of personal computers.
• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a U.S. person or protected individual within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines U.S. persons and protected individuals as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), U.S. Temporary Resident, Political Asylee or Refugee.

Skills
• Data entry/typing
• Detail oriented.
• Strong math skills.
• Good communication skills with a strong personality in dealing with suppliers.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing & verbal skills)
• Must be able to move about in an office and production areas, as needed

Education
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66% hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
