Youth: The Youth Director shall support, resource and lead youth-specific educational and fellowship opportunities for the youth in the 6th through 12th grades, including Confirmation. Additionally, the Youth Director recruits, trains and coordinates the Adult Youth Advisors for mentoring relationships with youth and works with the remainder of the church staff to bring youth into the life of the full congregation.
Essential Ministry Functions
· Coordinates educational and fellowship opportunities for youth. (Weekly Sunday School on Sunday AM, weekly youth group on Sunday PM, weekly Wednesday night program during school year, additional outings/activities as they arise)
· Coordinate and chaperone yearly mission trip and necessary fundraisers
· Teach bible study/Sunday school lessons 1-2 times a week
· Provides monthly written reports to the Christian Education Committee and the Consistory.
· Ensures proper supervision of youth activities in accordance with the Safe Church Policy and the policies of Trinity United Church of Christ.
· Participates in worship as needed.
· Supports, encourages and participates in the overall mission of Trinity United Church of Christ.
· Other duties as agreed upon by the Senior Pastor and Consistory.

Job Summary:
The Youth Director is responsible for organizing the youth program for grades 6-12 at TUCC. This includes hosting Sunday morning Sunday School Class and Sunday Evening youth group. The objective of the youth director will be to create a safe and accepting environment where each teen can explore their own personal spiritual journey and recieve guidance by youth leaders from a bible based perspective founded in the teachings of Jesus.
Weekly Duties Include:
- Preparing Sunday School Lesson
- Organizing any Sunday School Games/Activities
- Helping with Cafe on Sunday morning
- Shopping for any activities or meals
- Preparing Sunday evening youth group lesson/discussion
- Preparing Games and Activities
- Organizing Outreach programs for youth to get involved in
- Organizing missions trips, youth retreats and other off facility youth excursions
- Attending staff and consistory meetings
Education, Training, and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED and (2) years of childcare experience working with children or youth.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
A valid Driver’s License, appropriate driving record with appropriate insurance coverage (as required by agency policy and/or insurance carriers)
