Job Summary: Wenger Construction is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Service Superintendent to manage and oversee our service projects. As a Service Department Superintendent, you will be expected to manage a team of up to 8 people equating 4 crews. Each crew will have a Foreman that will serve as your on-site manager but you will help coordinate their daily activities and assure that customer expectations are met. You will also personally respond to service calls. This will involve driving out to customer locations, assessing services needed and sending relevant data back to our office staff so that we can prepare an accurate bid for the job.

Job Responsibilities

• Timely follow up with clients, field workers and office staff needs
• Assure frequent quality and safety inspections of your crew are administered
• Assure project(s) are meetings projected budget and pace
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and job assignments
• Hold crews accountable to expectations and take disciplinary actions when necessary
• Travel between multiple jobsites, service calls and our corporate headquarters, as needed
• Will be expected to travel to Wenger Headquarters for production meetings, training and to pick up materials
• Paperwork and receipts must be turned in at frequencies that meet departments expectations

Hungry

• Build and enforce site specific safety plans
• Manage workforce hours and address workers falling short of expectations
• Administer and advise disciplinary action for employees as needed
• Hands on in all aspects of project execution. Will be expected to perform on-site training with field workers
• Perform onsite visits and initial evaluations in response to service calls
• Receive and respond to urgent business-related calls during non-business hours

Collaborate

• Administer and document safety inspections of jobsites and workers
• Participate in project handoff meetings with office staff
• Perform project handoff meetings with your crews
• Communicate needed information and data to the Service Department Manager and office team
• Attend weekly meetings with production leaders to address the state of your crews and project(s)
• Set up and coordinate equipment rentals
• Perform data entry of job-related information into an online database

Elevate

• Manage a crew of up to 8 workers (4 service crews)
• Know your workforce and assign workers to projects based on skill and location
• Perform employee reviews and evaluation
• Administer R and R- to crew members to hold crews accountable and acknowledge individuals going above and beyond

Own It

• Manage change order processing with customers, crews, and office staff
• Work directly with customers and address any issues or concerns that they may have in a timely manner
• Create a materials plan for your jobs, including what materials, how much, where we will get them and expected wait times
• Oversee material acquisition assuring for accuracy and quality
• Stage products on the jobsite for field workers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
