We are seeking a Toddler Teacher to join Little Hands at Work and Play! This individual will adhere and strive for our philosophy "Learning and loving are one." Our success stems through the interaction, our developmentally appropriate curriculum, and our loving teachers. The position hours would be 8:30am-5:00pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

Applicants will be required to complete a state and federal background check as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 2 years old to 3 years old aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children
• Create a fun, attractive, organized, and safe learning environment
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playground
• Attends all required staff meetings and trainings
• Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to form relationships with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

This position requires the individual to be physically fit in order to lead a wide variety of individual and group activities; may include diapering and assisting children with toileting. In addition, requires, but not limited to the following:

• stamina to work long periods of time in a physically active environment;
• ability to lift and carry children up to 50 lbs in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations;
• ability to sit on floor, stoop, and bend onto childs' level and participate in all children's activities 90% of the day; and
• ability to work outdoors as needed.
