Accounting Intern

TITLE: Intern - This position assists PBO Advisory Group and/or their clients with data entry activities including recording and processing expenditures, receipts and other financial transactions.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Support the quality control of work papers for specific projects

· Perform ad-hoc analyses as assigned

· Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

· Filing documents and pulling clients files

· Support Data Entry

· Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements

· Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

· Assist in processing Accounts Payable

· Assist in collections (calls, emails, and sending statements)

· Assist in running reports (A/P, A/R, payroll)

· Provide basic research as requested by client and/or PBO Advisory Group

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

· Must be currently enrolled in college classes and working towards a degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Admin.; must have a minimum of one year completed

· Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

· Experience with QuickBooks and/or other automated accounting systems a plus

· Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required

· Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
