San Diego Family Care is Hiring a Psychologist or LCSW Near San Diego, CA

About San Diego Family Care:

San Diego Family Care operates eight (8) health centers in San Diego County. This includes 4 sites in Linda Vista, the Mid-City Community Clinic (Adults) and the Mid-City Community Clinic (Pediatrics), as well as two (2) school based clinics inside elementary and middle schools. These high quality community health centers deliver 116,337 primary care medical, dental and mental health visits annually to all residents of San Diego County. All health centers have been nationally recognized by the National Council on Quality Assurance. Translation is available in multiple languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive mental health screenings and evaluations for children and adolescents
  • Provide individual or family therapy with children and adolescents
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Develop and provide appropriate treatment recommendations and/or outside resources
  • Provide brief therapy utilizing evidence based practices
  • Coordinate information with referring providers and agencies
  • Consult with primary care providers as needed regarding shared patients
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in child psychology and incorporate them into clinical practice
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient sessions and progress
  • Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid CA license as a Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy modalities for children and adolescents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to adhere to a value system, style, and philosophy of care compatible with a preventative, holistic, culturally sensitive community mental health model
