The Survey Project Manager should possess the skills, experience, and knowledge to efficiently support and manage client projects. This position reports directly to the Director of Survey Operations and will assist other positions as needed. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the immediate supervision of project teams operating in the Denver, CO area. In addition, the Survey Project Manager is responsible for providing any necessary operational support and/or coverage for the Director of Survey Operations or Vice President.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Effectively manage and coordinate all assigned projects.
· Assign general and project specific duties and responsibilities to staff
· Coordinate with the client and field crews to ensure project organization
· Understand in detail the processes required at each stage through which the survey data must flow from its collection through its delivery as a quality product.
· Develop strong communication lines with existing clients and outside project team members
· Generate expansion with existing LWS clients and develop new client relationships
· Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities
· Participate in proposal development and client consultations
· Review deeds and calculate boundary analysis
· Sign and seal all types of survey plats
· Review and approve invoices
· Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship for all employees
· Lead by example by displaying a consistent work ethic, an emphasis on quality, and a commitment to integrity.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
· Must be able to manage many tasks simultaneously and excel in a fast-paced environment
· Must be a team player and a goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
· Must be able to develop and maintain new relationships within the energy industry
· Demonstrates the ability to implement and communicate new ideas
· 5 years directly related experience in surveying and management. Experience in the energy industry is preferable
· Professional Land Surveyor license in Oklahoma preferable, as well as multi-state licensures preferred.
