Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team. As the Assistant General Manager, you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience.
Duties:
- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and quality standards
- Manage and train staff members on proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve overall restaurant performance
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain adequate supplies
- Assist in creating employee schedules to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
Experience:
- 2 years experience in food service management is required
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety regulations
- Proven track record of successfully supervising a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Proficient in inventory control procedures and systems
- Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
- Familiarity with restaurant management software is a plus
Requirements:
-Physical: Applicants must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
-Education: High School Diploma required. Undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree, preferred.
-ServSafe Manager Certification
-Delaware Alcohol Beverage Server Training (ABCC)
-Work Schedule: Applicants must have weekend availability and will typically be scheduled to close the restaurant 4 nights a week.
