Job Summary
The Demand Planner is responsible for creating sales forecasts for all products Septodont sells in North America. The role interfaces with Customer Purchasing Departments, NA Sales and Marketing as well as various Supply Chain organizations throughout the Septodont family of companies in an effort to gather the information needed to create an accurate plan.
Responsibilities
NA Sales Forecast
- Develops relationships with the various Purchasing Departments at our customer locations and attend all regularly scheduled meetings between Sales and these Purchasing Departments to gather information regarding promotions and other activities that will affect demand
- Keeps in close contact with Septodont Marketing so that the impact of our internal promotions can be included in the Sales Forecast
- Maintains good working relationships with the Planning and Supply Chain groups at the various Septodont facilities that support the North American market
Administrative Duties
- Utilizes statistical tools to look at historical data to create a base line for the sales forecast
- Gives feedback as the company explores new ERP options as well as any new forecasting tools either as a part of the new ERP or a standalone tool
- Utilizes Microsoft Power BI to aid in forecast development
- Works with the Customer Service group to assist in communicating inventory positions on orders
Dealer Responsibilities
- Establishes relationships with key dealer personnel involved in buying Septodont product
- Primary contact with our dealers on supply issues
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a concentration in Math, Statistics or Data Science
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the demand planning field
- Proficiency in a forecasting system (Smoothie Mambo by Demandworks is an asset)
- Experience using an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics highly preferred)
