Future PolyTech is Hiring a Maintenance Supervisor Near Coldwater, OH

General Position Scope:

Manage the company’s maintenance operations and processes. Also responsible for assisting with budget creation and tracking department expenses.

Position will include competitive salary, bonus opportunities, full benefits package, and 401k.

Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for keeping the plant/machinery/equipment running during our 24/7 operation by planning, directing, and coordinating those activities concerned with the plant safety, design, construction, maintenance, continuously improving machine efficiency, equipment OEE, and physical plant repair and site appearance.

· Responsibility may include maintaining, troubleshooting, and overseeing repairs of electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.

· Maintains and creates cost-effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs, which are designed to minimize production downtime, maximize productivity, and preserve a history of repairs and cost by individual equipment and/or electrical devices/machinery providing OEE monthly reports.

· Supervises and prioritizes the activities of the maintenance team members and prepare monthly off hour “On Call” schedules.

· Primary contact when equipment is down and will always be notified by the Team Supervisor along with the On Call Maintenance Technician. If the Maintenance Technician cannot resolve the problem, it is the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor to fix or resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, the GM and Tech Plant Mgr. are to be informed to determine a course of action.

· Promotes ongoing training, including hands-on participation with the maintenance crew to further develop required skills and to keep abreast of the latest technology.

· Retrofits and redesigns existing equipment to provide maximum productivity at reduced costs. Oversees maintenance of buildings and grounds, utilizing the maintenance department or outside contractors.

· Assists in preparation of annual capital expenditure budgets as well as capital expenditure requests (justification) for the individual projects and determines the cost effectiveness of those projects by calculating the pay back periods and return on investment.

· Prepares bid sheets, contracts and drawings for new construction and capital improvement projects. Tests newly installed equipment to assure fulfillment of contract specifications.

· Prepares and maintains short and long-range engineering and maintenance budgets, which provide cost breakdowns by department.

· Maintains adequate levels of spare parts and materials by proper inventory management and storage.

· Establishes standards and policies operating procedures, inspection, and maintenance of equipment to comply with such regulations and assists in procurement of operating permits for the facility and its equipment.

· Work with the finance team by following costing and purchasing procedures.

· Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.

· Ability to manage and plan the staff, track breakdown and/or set up needs to support our 24/7 operation.

Job Requirements:

· Good diagnostic skills with continuous moving process.

· 480 VAC 3 phase, 24 vdc control circuits, Drives, encoders, and power transmission.

· Be adaptable to and remain current with equipment and plant process improvement.

· Ability to work under own initiative.

· Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines.

· Multi-tasking and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

· Ability to work with and through maintenance, outside contractors, and production personnel at all levels to achieve plant and corporate goals.

· Training and/or experience in budgeting, quality assurance, equipment installation and troubleshooting, equipment design, plant process improvement, and OSHA and environmental compliance.

· "Hands-on" approach to problem solving. Detail oriented with a dedication to continuous improvement and team building.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science degree or 5 – 10 years significant experience in a similar role.

· 3 years practical and supervisory experience in maintenance, preferably blown film extrusion or a closely related industry.

· Knowledge and experience in blown film plastic extrusion is a plus.

· Experience with PLC’s are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the candidate is frequently required to stand, walk, climb/descend steps, kneel, squat.

· The candidate is often required to kneel, reach, push, pull, and bend; lift up to 50 lbs. The work Environment can be hot, noise levels are moderate.

· Proper PPE is required in many job tasks.
