The New England Center for Children is Hiring a Program Specialist Near Southborough, MA

Are you looking for a rewarding career working with children with autism? The New England Center for Children is a top special education school in Massachusetts. Students between the ages of 3 and 22 receive year-round services with the curriculum ranging from basic prerequisite skills for learning, including attention, imitation and self-care, to academic skills, such as reading, math and science. As students reach the age of 14, emphasis is placed on vocational skills throughout the school and in the community.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Program Specialist to work in our Residential Program. The Program Specialist will be responsible for the management of the clinical, educational, and training needs of the team and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical and educational responsibility for a caseload of 8–11 students.
  • Personnel supervision of a team comprised of coordinators, teachers, and overnight professionals.
  • Completion of assessments and Individualized Educational Plans.
  • Curriculum and behavior intervention development.
  • Communication with families and community support.
  • Participation in NECC’s applied research program.
  • Familiarity with current research into best practices in behavior analysis and education.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis or Education with extensive practical training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • (BCBA) Board Certified and (LABA) license is required.
  • Experience in staff training and supervision is required.
  • The ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
